A local cupcake vendor (West Virginians, if you haven't tasted one of Paula Vega's cupcakes, you need to eat. one. now! just trust me on this one) just introduced a new cupcake for the Valentine's Day-season (I like the holiday so much, I say we make it into a whole season -- atleast the red-and-pink, chocolate-y goodness part of it). These cupcakes? Strawberry champagne.
They sold out within one single hour.
Did I get to taste one? No. Will my work schedule ever allow me to be at the bakery early enough to taste one? Probably not.
So, I'm going to make these knockoff cupcakes.
Here's to hoping they'll be just half as good as Paula's.
